Title: February Acceleration Academy - Teacher for ELA (Internal) (SY24-25)
*This position has multiple openings.
General Duties:
The February Acceleration Academy Teacher for ELA responsibilities includes, but are not limited to:
- Compliance with DESE set standards for Acceleration Academy Instruction
- Communication/collaboration with applicable staff and stakeholders, specifically their direct Program Supervisors
- Participation in the Chelsea based PD for Acceleration Academies (see schedule below)
- Creation and implementation of instructional units
- Creation/collaboration of curricular resources/scope and sequence
- Compliance with any and all special education requirements if applicable
Note: These are minimum requirements. Teachers may expand upon any of these duties as they see fit, but must meet these daily requirements.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be a current teacher in the grades submitted in the Google Form who is passionate about leading this work.
Compensation: $4,000 Stipend
Dates/Time: February Acceleration Academy work and planning includes, but is not limited to, the February Acceleration schedule which is:
- Monday February 17th - Friday February 21st, from 8AM-2:30PM
- Chelsea Based PD Saturday February 8th, from 10AM-2PM.
