Job Summary:
The housekeeper is responsible for ensuring cleanliness, tidiness, and hygiene standards are maintained within designated areas. This role involves performing a range of cleaning duties, organizing tasks, and ensuring a comfortable and sanitary environment.
Responsibilities:
Cleaning Tasks:
Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors.
Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors.
Wiping down surfaces, including countertops, tables, and appliances.
Changing bed linens and making beds.
Cleaning windows and glass surfaces.
Emptying trash bins and disposing of waste properly.
Organizational Tasks:
Organizing and tidying rooms, closets, and common areas.
Arranging items in an orderly manner.
Managing and restocking cleaning supplies.
Maintenance:
Reporting any maintenance issues, damages, or repairs needed.
Assisting with basic maintenance tasks as required.
Compliance and Safety:
Adhering to health and safety standards.
Following proper procedures for handling cleaning products.
Ensuring all areas are secure after work completion.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a housekeeper or similar role preferred.
Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods.
Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Physical stamina and mobility required for extended periods of activity.
Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
Good communication skills and a customer-oriented approach when applicable.
Flexibility to work varied shifts or schedules.
