Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in various environments, ensuring that all areas are spotless and welcoming. This role is essential in providing a comfortable atmosphere for guests and residents alike, making it crucial for individuals with a strong work ethic and a passion for cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitizing of assigned areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common spaces.
- Ensure all surfaces are dusted, vacuumed, mopped, and sanitized to meet health and safety standards.
- Manage laundry services including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels.
- Respond to guest requests promptly with a focus on excellent customer service.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
- Assist in special cleaning projects as needed, such as carpet cleaning or deep cleaning tasks.
- Follow established housekeeping procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail in both residential and commercial settings.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation practices and custodial methods.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with guests and residents.
- Experience in housekeeping management or hotel environments is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic cooking skills are beneficial but not required.
