Position Overview :
Extenet is seeking a highly skilled and strategic senior-level professional with a strong background in tax management and financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, financial operations, and tax strategy to ensure the company's financial success and compliance with tax regulations. Depending on experience, we are open to hiring someone at a senior manager or director level with a part-time work schedule.

Responsibilities :
- Estimated Tax Payments and Amended Tax Filings : Manage estimated tax payments and prepare amended tax returns and carryback claims as required.
- IRS and State Controversy Support with Non-recurring / Special Transactions and Tax Law Changes : Provide IRS and state controversy support, including responses to document requests, and analyze tax impacts of special transactions and relevant tax law changes.
- Withholding Calculations and FATCA Compliance : Calculate U.S. withholding on foreign payments and manage compliance with FATCA regulations, including FBAR filings.
- Trial Balance Review and Data Reconciliation : Review trial balance allocations and reconcile data, push-down entries, and eliminations for accurate financial statement reporting.
- E&P and Depreciation Calculations : Perform E&P calculations, including tax depreciation and earnings and profits computations.
- Equity Compensation Plan Review and Section 174 Expenditures : Oversee new equity compensation plans and manage Section 174 capitalization research and expenditures.
- Debt Amortization with Financial Reporting : Prepare debt amortization schedules, analyze debt modifications, and optimize financial operations to support accurate financial reporting.
- Relationship Oversight : Develop and maintain relationships with tax authorities and external tax advisors.
- Tax Strategy Development : Develop and execute a comprehensive tax strategy to optimize the company's tax position while ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Tax Compliance Oversight : Oversee all tax compliance activities, including the preparation and submission of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Tax Process Oversight : Oversee and manage all activities related to Sales and Use tax, Property tax and Franchise tax.
- Income Tax Policy Management : Manage policies and practices related to income tax provisions – ASC 740, FIN48, etc.
- Financial Operations : Manage and optimize financial operations, ensuring the efficient use of financial resources and processes.
- Internal Policy and Process Development : Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard the company's assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Continuously enhance financial processes and systems to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance financial reporting.
- Audit Coordination : Coordinate and manage tax audits, reviews and negotiations, collaborating with external auditors to ensure the completion of audits by established timelines.
- Budgeting and Forecasting : Work closely with senior executives to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support the company's strategic objectives.
- Stakeholder Interaction : Interact with investors, board members, and external partners, providing financial insights and updates on the company's financial performance.
- Ad Hoc Duties : Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support dynamic needs of the accounting and finance department.
