Plant Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Plant Maintenance Technician to join our client at a fast-paced food manufacturing facility. This role is critical in maintaining the operational reliability of production equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, experience with conveyors or production machinery, and a desire to grow their skills in a supportive environment.

Shift

• Tuesday through Saturday or a Sunday through Thursday shift, 1st (5:00-1:30), 2nd (2:00-10:30) or 3rd (9:00-5:30) available

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various packaging and conveyor equipment.
• Assist with fabrication, installation, and maintenance of production-related systems, including piping, steam lines, and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct chemical testing and maintain support systems like boilers, condensers, and cooling towers.
• Learn and apply welding techniques as required (training provided if needed).
• Use hand and power tools safely to perform maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
• Support cross-functional team efforts to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
• Follow safety protocols and quality standards in a food-grade production environment.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical experience in food production, or similar environments.
• Experience with conveyor systems or packaging machinery preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Willingness to learn and train in welding and chemical handling.
• Physically able to stand, walk, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in warm, humid, and loud conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
