What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School/Upper School Substitute Teacher: Grades 6-12 position at External Job Board?
Responsibilities:
Major responsibility of the position is to conduct study course, maintain structure and account for students of assigned class during teacher’s absence.

Report for class assignment on short notice.

Execute lesson as outlined by division administration or absent faculty member.

Adhere to normal school day schedule and responsibilities, including after-school activities as assigned.

Maintain classroom order.

Contact Division Head, administration team leader or faculty member for assistance with emergencies or problems beyond scope of the position.

Provide information about children and class activities to returning faculty member.

Attend training, when scheduled.
Qualifications:
Must have excellent communication skills; exercise good judgment when dealing with students of all ages; ability to set good example for students; comply with school standards as they relate to faculty conduct. Able to maintain classroom structure; take direction and follow lesson plan. Willingness to cooperate with other teachers to accomplish objectives of the position. Flexibility in work schedule, report on short notice; dependable. Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position. Four-year degree and/or previous experience in teaching, corporate training or childcare preferred but not required.
