What are the responsibilities and job description for the Skilled Packaging Technician- Cook Smoke position at External Job Board?
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in supporting a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel through consistent support of the company’s Safety Process.
- Responsible to ensure product is run to specification ensuring the highest quality and performs root cause analysis on all quality defects.
- Participate/support the SQF program and assist in the development of the system and operational standards and corrective actions.
- Perform routine quality checks.
- Hold yourself and team members accountable.
- Identify, analyze, and arrange for remediation of potential problems
- Checks correct recording on computer screens, in reports and documents, verifies accuracy of calculations.
- Makes verbal reports to Section Leader and provides spoken information about a problem or issue.
- Participate and complete written work instructions.
- Utilize 5Y methodology.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Able to navigate E-21.
- Operate Forklift/High Lift
- Also required to perform all PT1 and PT2 requirements.
- Other duties and/or projects may be assigned.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
- Ability to use hands/arms to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Ability to work in multiple areas of the plant and may be exposed to wet and humid conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to use distant and peripheral vision, identify and distinguish colors, and adjust focus.
- May work near moving mechanical parts, high and/or confining places.
