The Applications Systems Analyst will be responsible for the administration, support, and optimization of key enterprise applications, including (but not limited to) MRI, K2, Argus Enterprise, Nexus Payables, TM1 Cognos, and Contracts 365. This role will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify system requirements, troubleshoot issues, enhance performance, and align application functionality with business needs in areas such as financial management, real estate analytics, contract workflows, and enterprise reporting.
This position involves not only the technical management of systems but also the application of systems analysis methodologies—working directly with users to gather requirements, define functional specifications, and translate those into effective hardware and software solutions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn, develop, and cross-train under the mentorship of the Business Applications Director and the Director of Business Reporting and Analysis, gaining hands-on experience with leading technologies and enterprise application best practices.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field - or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems support or administration, with direct experience in MRI, Argus Enterprise, Nexus Payables, TM1 Cognos, or Contracts 365 (experience with multiple systems preferred).
- Proven ability to analyze, develop, test, and implement enterprise application enhancements or modifications based on user or system specifications.
- Proficiency with SQL and reporting tools for data analysis and decision support.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical teams.
- Physical requirements involve sitting to perform general office work at a computer, and mobility between departments or office area to facilitate work.

- Familiarity with AP automation, financial modeling, or contract lifecycle management tools.
- Experience with cloud-based ERP or SaaS solutions.
- Exposure to scripting or automation technologies (e.g., VBA, Python, Power Automate).
- Understanding of API integrations, middleware, or other system interoperability tools.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
System Administration & Support:
- Serve as the secondary administrator for MRI, Nexus Payables, TM1 Cognos; primary administrator for Contracts 365; and subject matter expert for Argus Enterprise, ensuring optimal performance and system uptime.
- Provide user-facing support by diagnosing and resolving issues, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Administer system configurations, security roles, and user access permissions in alignment with company policies.
- Interface with software vendors for system updates, technical support, and troubleshooting.
- Analyze and refine existing systems and processes based on user input and evolving business requirements.
Process Improvement & Optimization:
- Utilize systems analysis techniques to evaluate user needs and propose technical solutions aligned with business goals.
- Design, modify, and test workflows, scripts, templates, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and functionality.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and system specifications.
- Work collaboratively with finance, accounting, and real estate teams to identify areas for system improvement and functional expansion.
Reporting & Data Analysis:
- Partner with the Director of Business Reporting and Analysis to build, maintain, and enhance financial and operational reporting tools using TM1 Cognos and other platforms.
- Extract and manipulate data to support real-time analytics and data-driven decision-making.
- Validate data integrity across systems and resolve discrepancies proactively.
- Participate in the design and testing of system-generated reports and dashboards.
Project Management & Collaboration:
- Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of new applications, upgrades, and system integrations.
- Support the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Document system changes and work with cross-functional teams to manage project timelines and deliverables.
- Create training resources and lead end-user training sessions to support adoption and continuous improvement.
Learning & Professional Development:
- Receive guidance and mentorship from senior leadership to deepen knowledge of enterprise systems and integration strategies.
- Enhance technical expertise in systems design, architecture, and application development.
