What are the responsibilities and job description for the Backshift Die Setter A position at External Opportunities?
Minimum Qualifications:
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Knowledge of computer software programs and terms regarding the powdered metal industry.
* Basic knowledge of quality systems.
* Setup parts on both sizing and molding presses as assigned by management.
* Program Cieco units.
* Communicate with and train underclass and/or trainee die setters.
* Do your own problem solving and help in the prevention of tool breakage.
Competency Requirements:
* Understand and follow internal quality policy and job-related procedures.
* Effectively plan and organize tasks.
* Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Understand Quality System requirements.
* Understand all areas in your department and become familiar with other processes involving the parts produced in your department.
* Show a commitment to get involved in training and problem solving.
* Be able to provide input on all problems in both sizing and molding.
* Be quality conscience.
* Have hands on knowledge of all parts and presses in both sizing and molding.
* Have input on supervisory decisions involving machinery, tooling and quality.
§ Experience with Single & Multi level
§ Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot problems
§ Ability to communicate information to coworkers
§ Work with minimal supervision
§ 3-5 years’ experience preferred
