What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professionals - Instructors position at External Opportunities?
Full-time and Part-time positions available! Urgent need for weekend staff! Some night awake, evening and day positions available also. Instructors will teach/support adults with intellectual disabilities in a home setting. Staff will assist individuals to live in a healthy safe environment; teach daily living skills including behavior, communication & social skills as well as community-based skills; assist with meal preparation, personal care/hygiene, housekeeping, and leisure activities; will accompany and supervise individuals while on community outings & serve as an appropriate role model; assist individuals to find meaningful community activities & provide transportation as needed. HS Diploma/GED is required for some positions. Many positions require a valid driver’s license & a good driving record. Driving is not required for most night awake positions.

Pay: $15.75 to $17.75 hour depending on shift.
