What are the responsibilities and job description for the Neuro Rehab Technician position at External Opportunities?
Will teach, train, observe, supervise and provide assistance to persons with acquired brain injuries in an assisted living setting. Assist with strategies to help individuals served regain independence. Assist individuals to live in a healthy safe environment. Teach functional daily living skills including behavior, communication and social skills as well as community-based skills as outlined in the individual’s teaching and support strategies and action plans. Will assist with meal preparation, housekeeping, leisure and community inclusion activities. Will serve as an appropriate role model in the home and community. Will respond appropriately to emergency situations. Will provide all services to individuals in a manner that respects and supports the rights, privacy and dignity of the individuals served. Will complete all documentation as required by regulation and ARCA Policy to include but not limited to: individuals’ progress on teaching goals and objectives; incident reports; daily notes on attendance and activities of daily living; and medication administration records. Will remain alert and awake at all times while on duty. Will provide transportation. Will competently teach self-administration of medications to individuals in accordance with ARCA policies and State regulations. Will comply with ARCA policies and procedures when responsible for individuals’ and/or program monies.
