We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ABA Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with cognitive impaired clients, implementing behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behavioral changes. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and the ability to document progress effectively. The ABA Therapist will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for clients in ARCA's Neuro programs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on the needs of each client.
- Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to improve social, communication, and daily living skills.
- Monitor and document client progress, maintaining accurate medical records and documentation.
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
- Provide training and support to family members on behavioral techniques and strategies.
- May be required to be "on-call" during weekend and/or during non-office hours or provide support/services to the team and/or patient/client during emergency situations.
Qualifications:
- A Master Degree in ABA or related field from an accredited college/university preferred; Bachelor’s Degree in BCBA or working towards one, required.
- At least one year of experience working with persons who have neuro cognitive impairments or disabilities, their families, and related community agencies.
- Current license or be able to be licensed to practice Board Certified Applied Behavior Analysis in the State of New Mexico.
- Must have current, valid Drivers License and good driving record
