What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Microbiologist, Quality Control position at External?
We are hiring for a Lead Microbiologist that supports the Microbiological analysis of products, stability samples, validation samples, raw materials, and environmental samples through testing, data analysis/interpretation, method validation and continuous improvement projects.
Job duties:
- Performs microbiological monitoring of the purified and laboratory water systems, compressed air systems, active air monitoring collection and equipment monitoring
- Analyzes and interprets data
- Provides microbiology thought leadership across functional groups
- Leads cross-functional training and data review processes
- Acts as subject matter expert (SME) within a core functional area of microbiology
Required qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent documentation, and organizational skills
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with others
- Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibility for the results
- Five plus years experience in a Micro Lab either in pharmaceutical or other industrial setting, and background in aseptic techniques preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or related science
