The West Chester Area School District has the following Instructional Coach position available at the elementary level (certification requirement – appropriate valid PA certification):
*Anticipated* 1.0 Instructional Coach - Exton Elementary
The Instructional Coach reports directly to the Elementary Principal and provides peer support to teachers in standards-based instruction, assessment and reporting. Offers job embedded professional development for the implementation of district programs. Assists in the development, implementation and on-going evaluation/revision of the District-wide Assessment System including participating in screening, diagnosing and monitoring student assessment and progress.
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.
- Bachelor's degree with valid PA certification
- Minimum of two successful years of K-5 classroom teaching experience
- Proficiency in the use of technology for individual communication and research
- Proficiency in presentation of technology to students and adults
- Possess effective interpersonal skills
- Expertise in educational best practices in teaching
- Knowledge of the development, implementation and on-going evaluation/revision of the District-wide Assessment System
- Knowledge of equity issues in current educational reform
Salary: PER WCAEA CONTRACT
