EST wishes to employ a Group Supported Employment Manager who will be on site full time. The Group Supported Employment Manager must have at least 5 years’ experience supporting special needs individuals in vocational training. In addition, they should have at least a bachelor's degree in a field like psychology, counseling, special education, human services, a related area or associate degree with relevant work experience. Responsibilities include: (a) supervising employment program managers; (b) supervising and coordinating activities of special needs workers engaged in preparing and serving tea, baked goods, food prep program food for the restaurant, and other related duties; (c) developing coaching plans for staff facilitating workers in said food services; (d) observing and evaluating workers and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service; (e) providing individual counseling and job preparedness training to participants on a daily basis; (f) providing vocational counseling aimed at job retention and advancement; (g) tracking goals for each special needs worker and providing assistance to make sure that each individual meets their goals to the best of their ability; (h) providing vocational assessments and testing as needed; and (i) participating in the review of each staff and participant’s goals.
