We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounting Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic construction environment and be an integral part of our finance team. This role is Monday through Friday 8 : 00am to 4 : 00pm.
Responsibilities :
- Manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Process employee timecards and ensure accurate job costing.
- Handle certified payroll reporting and tax-related tasks.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closings.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist with financial audits as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of company, employee, and financial information.
- Collaborate with team members to meet strict deadlines.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement.
- Minimum of 5 years of consecutive experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly adapt to new software and tools.
- Experience with Quickbooks and / or Sage 100.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Self-starter who requires little to no direction.
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Personable and friendly, with the ability to work well in a team.
- Adaptable to change and proactive in seeking process improvements.
