We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our dynamic team and help ensure the smooth operation of water distribution and treatment systems.

Job Description :

As an Electrical Technician specializing in automation for public drinking water systems, you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing electrical systems involved in water treatment, distribution, and related automation processes. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and field technicians to ensure that all electrical and automation systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical components of automation systems used in public drinking water treatment and distribution.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in electrical control panels, IoT systems, SCADA systems, and other automation equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and automation equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and testing of electrical and automation systems for new projects.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of electrical equipment to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols in all electrical and automation work.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to implement system upgrades and improvements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including maintenance logs, system configurations, and project reports.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Technician, with a focus on automation systems.
  • Familiarity with Networking, SCADA systems, VFDs, and other automation technologies.
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuits, wiring, and power systems.
  • Experience in the water treatment and distribution industry is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in automation systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts, as needed.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with water treatment systems and related automation technologies.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems specific to the water industry.
  • Experience with power generation or renewable energy systems.
