What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Drafter / Designer position at Extreme Engineering Solutions?
Extreme Engineering Solutions is seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for 3D modeling of heat frames for single-board computers (SBC) and supporting the creation, review, and refinement of detailed drawings. Bring your expertise in Solid Modeling and a strong understanding of drawing documentation, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), to contribute to the team's success. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are essential as you work with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality designs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reference design requirements, sketches, and specifications from engineers to design and develop detailed 3D models of heat frames and SBC Assemblies using Creo.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company and industry standards, actively participating in the drawing creation and review process.
- Interpret and apply GD&T principles to ensure precision and accuracy in all designs.
- Understand and create Bill of Materials (BOM) for mechanical assemblies to ensure correct part documentation and efficient production processes.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve design issues and maintain project timelines.
- Provide technical support and guidance related to mechanical design to other team members.
- Stay current with best practices in design and modeling tools, especially within defense and aerospace applications.
