Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to ensure our materials and products meet all quality standards.
This position performs inspections to released specifications on raw materials, incoming electronic assemblies, or completed assemblies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect materials and products to determine whether they meet X-ES standards.
- Support procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and safety.
- Continuously measure and improve quality/repair procedures, documentation and processing time.
- Adhere to company practices regarding safety and control of electrostatic discharge (ESD).
- Conduct testing to ensure product will function properly and meets customer requirements.
- Use multiple hand tools to manually process delicate materials while analyzing and interpret material drawings and assembly drawings.
- Record test results and carry out reaction paths, including working with add cross functional teams to return rejected materials.
- Enter and record material and product non-conformities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited high school (or valid General Educational Development certificate).
- Successful completion of on the job IPC training and certification.
- Computer proficiency and a high level of organization with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently.
- Good hand dexterity and coordination is necessary as products and components are typically very small.
- Ability to work onsite from our facility located at Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI.
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in electronics, or equivalent work experience.
- IPC certified or an understanding of the standard.
- Experience in electronics, a manufacturing environment, or related field.
- Knowledge in electronics and mechanical assemblies is a plus.
