Coordinate all aspects of vetting and onboarding Independent Contract Drivers to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Conducting thorough inspections on equipment to verify compliance and safety standards, coordinating licensing and permit requirements including IFTA and tags for incoming vehicles, setting up the Samsara system for ELD, managing the fuel card distribution for ICs, adding the ICs equipment information into Magnus, assist with maintaining and recording IC equipment maintenance records, create COIs to ensure proper coverage and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Independent Contractors (IC') who have been approved for registration, including decals, fuel permits and IFTA compliance.
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and coordinate all licensing and permit requirements, including IFTA and vehicle tags for incoming units.
- Configure and manage the Samsara system for ELD setup during IC onboarding.
- Manage the distribution of MS fuel cards for IC's.
- Generate and manage Certificates of Insurance (COI's) to ensure compliance with insurance requirements.
- Coordinate licensing and permit processes, including IFTA and vehicle tags, for all incoming IC's.
- Assist with yard audits for company trucks and IC's at the Brunswick port.
- Assist with tracking inventory to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Assist with updating the master spreadsheet, ensuring all IC truck and trailer data is accurately recorded.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of IC onboarding, with vehicle registrations, IFTA, and fuel permits.
- Ability to proficiently use all Microsoft functions; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of car haul equipment.
- Ability to work independently and work without direction.
- Willingness to adapt to changes and assist where needed at the port.
