Purpose
The Inventory Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing inventory management processes across all departments, including donor intake materials, incoming supplies, and finished goods. This role will develop and implement standardized cycle counting procedures, manage staff responsible for inventory control, and ensure alignment across departments to maintain accuracy and efficiency in inventory management. The role requires a balance between hands-on inventory oversight and strategic leadership in developing best practices.
Responsibilities
- Oversee inventory processes for donor materials, incoming supplies, and finished goods to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Establish and maintain the inventory system
- Develop and maintain a consistent cycle counting program across all departments, ensuring compliance with frequency requirements
- Oversee inventory personnel, ensuring best practices are followed in day-to-day operations and maintaining alignment with department objectives
- Support leadership development within the department, providing guidance and feedback as needed, with the role evolving to include direct report management as the team grows
- Implement and enforce standardized inventory control processes across different departments
- Monitor inventory trends, conduct root cause analysis for discrepancies, and generate reports to support decision-making
- Work closely with the Purchasing & Supply chain, Distribution and Donor Intake teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and identify improvement opportunities
- Ensure proper use of inventory management systems, provide training as needed, and support process automation initiatives
- Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in inventory management
- Maintain a working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 1271, FDA 21 CFR 820, AATB standards, ISO Standards, cGMP/CGTP, other relevant regulations/standards, and internal organizational policies and standard operating procedures
- Travel domestically up to 10% to attend offsite meetings, conferences, and support business initiatives
- Maintain flexibility to work outside of normal business hours during weekdays or weekends with reasonable advance notice to support business/operational needs when necessary.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, logistics, or a related field required
- Clearance of favorable background investigation required
