Extrusion Alternatives, Inc. (ExAlt) is a fast growing medical manufacturer. We are seeking dependable, hard working people to pack plastic components on our production lines in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Candidate must have the ability to work on their feet and lift up to 50 lbs. No experience necessary but ideal candidates will have held previous manufacturing positions. Monday through Friday 45 hours per week. Starting $17 per hour. A: Purpose and Scope
The Packer / Inspector role is to pack tubing products at the end of the production line in a neat, precise, and consistent manner that meets the customers’ requirements, as outlined on the MPS. Additionally, the Packer / Inspector role calls on the employee to visually inspect tubing attributes, check post-production pack integrity, check pack prior to closure, and verify labeling for proper lot traceability. This employee is responsible for the final check prior to products leaving the packaging room.
B: Responsibilities
The pack integrity of all products in the form of bulk lockouts, neat packs, spooling, and/or coiling. In-process and post-production visual inspection of tubing, particularly for critical attributes on key products. Final check prior to product being moved out of packaging room. Aid in moving product out of packaging room during and post-production.
The coordination of all packing materials specified for individual lots on the MPS, including poly wrap, poly bags, cartons, and spacers.
The awareness of laser parameters as process control alarms.
Techniques for labeling and any other label support documentation employed.
Preparation of packing materials and packing area.
Cleaning and maintenance of packing area and Clean Room.
Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or management.
C: Organizational Relationship
The Packer reports to the Production Manager, but has a support function to the Operator and Quality Inspector.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
A: Education and Training
The Packer / Inspector shall be evaluated for suitability, through introductory company training, as well as continuous on-the-job training.

None required.
