Pre-Employment Testing Required
This Operations and Mechanical (O&M) position requires pre-employment testing. A test link will be sent to you within 48 hours after you apply. Please complete the assessment by March 8, 2021. If you have already completed the O&M assessment for another job, then you do not need to retest. Your test results will be transferred to this requisition.
Job Summary
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient performance of any work needed to operate the warehouse. Warehouse Operators work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. This position is located in Beaumont, Texas.
Job Responsibilities
- Adjusting and monitoring palletizing.
- Loading and unloading of package trailers and export containers
- De-nesting equipment.
- Preparing trailers and export containers for shipment.
- Physically inspecting and monitoring equipment and/or the work area using vision, hearing, smell, and touch, to ensure correct operation.
- Checking critical performance parameters such as temperature, pressure, level, flow rate, and/or vibration to ensure all equipment is operating within its defined operating envelope.
- Adjusting local process parameters (temperature, pressure, etc.) to maintain product specifications within their optimal operating window.
- Performing basic equipment maintenance (adding lube oil, water, tightening valve packing, changing filters and steam traps, clearing equipment, etc.).
- Communicating with console supervisor to remain informed of existing process conditions and relate any changes made or needed.
- Performing winterization and summerization of equipment for maximum equipment efficiencies.
- Monitoring equipment using electronic test equipment including hand held monitors and computer monitoring equipment.
- Required to wear proper uniform and PPE. (Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Steel Toed Shoes, Gloves, Ear Plugs/Muffs)
- Overtime is required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Participation in a Warehouse Operator training program preferred.
- Demonstrated relevant work experience is preferred.
