Job Summary
- Collaborate among all functions associated with domestic unconventional oil and gas in order to identify gaps, opportunities, and solutions through data, statistics, and technology
- Act as Solutions Architect and/or Data Scientist
- Coordinate within Data Integration and Analytics team to generate best solutions with near/mid/long term goals in mind
- Develop statistically sound methods for internal and external benchmarking metrics
- Provide guidance towards solution generation based on previous experience
Job Responsibilities
- Projects and initiatives involving data pipelines, access, and storage considerations
- Data source integration among multiple platforms and (SQL, Oracle, noSQL, and cloud platforms)
- Development of Drilling, Operations, Reservoir, and Geology workflows/dashboards/applications
- Scripting functions and code to manipulate, transform, or visualize information
- Embedding machine learning algorithms in new and existing processes
- Visualization of complex information for consumption across the business
Level of Proficiency
Five years of professional experience with a track record of successful solution generation preferred- Advanced critical thinking skills, detail oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude
- Flexible and able to prioritize assignments associated with multiple technical disciplines
- Ability to start or engage in existing initiatives while quickly delivering high quality results
- Must be an adept problem solver with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong skills in computer science and/or statistics
Skills Description
Domain experience in Oil and Gas (preferred, not required)- Data source integration (SQL, Oracle, NoSQL, Azure, Hadoop, SAP HANA, GIS, Web Services, AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
- Proficiency of at least one coding language: C#, Python, or R
- Basic skills associated with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, .Net, and Visual Studio
- Experience with data visualization platforms (Spotfire preferred)
- Design and analysis of experiments
- Ability to implement regression, multivariate, and time series models
