Job Role Summary
The Environmental Field Services Supervisor will work within the Environmental Department in Beaumont, Texas. The Environmental Department supports the Beaumont Refinery, Beaumont Chemical Plant and the Beaumont Polyethylene Plant. The Environmental Field Services Supervisor supports the sites with analysis of regulations, contractor planning, program execution, and maintaining regulatory compliance within existing systems.
Job Role Responsibilities
Provide compliance support to manufacturing sites for LDAR, Waste (RCRA), and Water (TPDES, Storm water & Potable) requirements- Maintain and improve existing regulatory compliance via routine field assessments and documenting action / closure plans for any findings
- Review physical and operational changes using systematic methods or best practices to ensure compliance with regulations
- Ensure Beaumont Area work processes and systems are optimized to maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and that continuous improvement processes are in effect
- Complete periodic field audits of applicable work practices and standards performed by contractors
- Manage and direct the work of LDAR Contractors to ensure all regulatory requirements are met
- Direct LDAR re-inventory and tagging program to ensure accurate inventories
- Work with Process and Mechanical Departments to facilitate adherence to site Waste, Water & LDAR processes and regulatory requirements
- Ensure Field Services and LDAR teams foster strong safety culture environment via use of core safety principles, including LPS (Loss Prevention System)
- Work within the LeakDAS database performing QA/QC of data, and report generation
- Prepare and submit RCRA, TPDES and LDAR compliance reports
- Develop plans to ensure compliance with new or revised regulations and permits
- Manage external or internal regulatory compliance inspections and assessments in support of Field Services Section
- Support development of Environmental Business Plans to drive continued improvement in environmental performance to address significant environmental aspects and in conjunction with other business drivers
- Support On-Call rotation by providing 24/7 support to manufacturing organizations during assigned weeks
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Science, or equivalent work related experience- A minimum of five years’ experience within an Environmental Waste, Water, LDAR Compliance, or Process Operations field, including MOC experience
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of the following regulations:- LDAR - NSPS, MON, HON, EMACT & Texas Reg 5 Chapter 115
- BWON - NESHAP FF
- RCRA / TCEQ Waste Rules
- TX MSGP Storm water
- TPDES
- Strong interpersonal skills, in order to effectively work in a team environment
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new computer applications to perform job proficiently
- Possess the ability to communicate with various levels in the organization, including contractors
- Proven ability to take initiative, manage & prioritize deadlines and achieve results
