About Houston
ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team
The System Analyst will be responsible for supporting development, continuous implementation, and user training of ExxonMobil’s custom systems, tools, and applications for unconventional scheduling, capital forecasting, budgeting, and production forecasting. The System Analyst will collaborate closely with the Product Owner and the Technical Development Team to ensure the successful delivery of custom system and software projects. Additionally, they will provide user training and business solutions to maximize value generated through effective system utilization. This role will be located in Houston, TX.
What you will do
- Collaborate closely with end-users and stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements as prioritized by the Product Owner. Analyze and evaluate requirements to identify potential gaps, conflicts, and ambiguities.
- Regularly monitor and engage with users on support and enhancement requests. Triage requests and handle them or engage the appropriate teams for further support. Act as a bridge between end-users and the development / configuration team, ensuring effective communication and understanding of objectives and requirements. Facilitate meetings and discussions to resolve issues and clarify requirements.
- Create clear work items, including use cases / user stories, bug reports, acceptance criteria, test cases, and workflow diagrams. Maintain and build application and end-user documentation.
- Ensure user requirements are consistent with existing application patterns. Bring forward and contribute to opportunities for improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Establish in-depth knowledge of business workflows, processes, and the applications or systems used. Provide training and support to users, helping them effectively utilize the software.
- Regularly provide feedback to product owners and developers about the system’s performance and usability. Play a crucial role in identifying areas for improvement and suggesting enhancements.
