Job Role Summary
An IC&E Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and control devices/electrical systems on remote facilities.
Job Role Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair all plant instrumentation.
- Troubleshoot and repair Control and Electrical systems. (PLCs, transmitters, control wiring, MCCs, Soft Starters, VFD’s etc.).
- Troubleshoot and repair control/communication networks within plant (Ethernet I/P, Network Switches, Fiber Optics, Ethernet and Serial Radio networks)
- Works Safely around instrumentation and electrical systems.
- 12 hour rotating schedule/ 14 days on-14 days off
Expected Level of Proficiency
2 years of experience as an IC&E Technician or an Associate’s Degree in Instrumentation, Controls or Electrical Systems.- NM Journeyman’s license a plus but not mandatory
- Understand basic plant operation.
- Fisher ROC experience a plus.
- Allen Bradley PLC/Rockwell Automation and Delta V DCS experience is a plus.
- Experience with wired and wireless Rosemount Pressure Transmitters, Guided Wave Radar’s, D.P. Level, Level Switch’s, Gateway’s, and Temperature Transmitters a plus.
- Knowledge of control valves and positioners.
- Knowledge of control loops.
- Knowledge of Ethernet Radio and Serial Radio networks.
- Solid understanding of low and medium voltage electrical equipment such as switch gears, Variable Frequency Drives, lighting contactors, and 24 volt DCE control circuits
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Word and Excel
- Willing to work overtime when necessary (not guaranteed).
