The Intern, Electrical Engineering participates in a team
environment consisting of engineers and designers to produce
construction documents for the following systems: power,
lighting, controls, grounding, and the like.
- Assists in performing engineering tasks for the design of electrical systems for high technology facilities including cleanrooms, general manufacturing/process facilities and institutional
- Assists in preparation of electrical engineering calculations in support of electrical system designs including, electrical equipment sizing, feeder sizing and equipment selection
- Assists in providing specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise
- Coordinates with the project team and other disciplines as well as other design offices
- Assist in the development of conceptual design, preliminary design and final design documents which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of power diagrams, layout of electric equipment, electrical system control and the like
- Other duties as assigned
- Pursing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field required
- At least a 3.0 GPA preferred
- Must be at least in Junior year of college
- Prior experience as an intern in a project team environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to the success of the team
