Explore Your Tasks And Responsibilities
Cost Estimating and Budget Management:
- Assist in creating, monitoring, and forecasting project costs, including managing scope changes and updating budget and expenditure information in cost reporting systems.
- Prepare cost estimates and review estimates developed by others to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Participate in various project-related meetings, including design and planning, pre-bid, pre-construction award, progress updates, and change order discussions.
- Collaborate with team members to gather insights and provide input on cost and schedule matters.
- Review project designs, plans, specifications, addenda, and change orders to estimate construction costs.
- Evaluate change proposals and assist in the preparation of change orders.
- Collect, organize, and analyze project data related to cost and schedule to support decision-making.
- Use construction software programs such as Primavera Expedition and CAD tools to support project control tasks.
- Undertake special assignments in cost and schedule management as directed by the team.
- Provide general support to ensure smooth project operations and delivery.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Junior or Senior standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
- Previous internship experience in a project team environment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with construction software tools such as Primavera and CAD is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to contributing to team success.
