The Project Engineer - TFS is responsible for managing the project resource plan and budget, managing project issues, risk and action, assigning responsibilities and mentor project team, implement and manage project changes and intervention to achieve project output, project evaluation and assessment of results, perform risk management to minimize project risks, coordinate with external stakeholders.as directed by the Project Manager and to ensure execution of the work in accordance with the company’s procedures and the contract documents at our lowest cost and risk. The Project Engineer, at a minimum, is responsible for scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, keeping up with project relevant documents and providing detailed information to the field.

- Project Planning: Collaborating with clients, managers, and engineering teams to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints. This includes creating project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
- Procurement: Managing the procurement process for equipment, materials, and services needed for the project. This involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to the construction site.
- Construction Management: Overseeing the construction phase of the project, coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and construction teams. Monitoring progress, quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
- Quality Control: Implementing quality control measures to ensure that materials, and construction work meet industry standards and project requirements. Conducting inspections, tests, and audits as needed.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to address them. This includes monitoring project risks related to cost overruns, schedule delays, technical issues, and safety hazards.
- Project Documentation: Maintaining accurate project documentation, including engineering drawings, contracts, change orders, progress reports, and technical manuals. Ensuring that all project documentation is organized, up-to-date, and accessible to stakeholders.
- Communication: Facilitating communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including clients, vendors, internal teams, and regulatory authorities. Providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and resolving conflicts as they arise.
- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Ensuring compliance with HSE regulations and promoting a safe working environment on the project site. Implementing safety protocols, conducting safety training, and addressing any environmental concerns related to the project.
- Project Closeout: Managing the project closeout process, including final inspections, client acceptance, documentation of lessons learned, and handover of project deliverables. Ensuring that all contractual obligations are fulfilled and that the project meets client expectations.
- Overall, a Project Engineer in the construction industry needs a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, communication abilities, and a strong focus on quality, safety, and compliance to successfully execute engineering projects from conception to completion.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 0 - 5 years of experience
- Experience working on construction projects (preferably Semi and/or Pharmaceutical type projects)
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to understand drawings and specifications, contract documents, materials, means and methods
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong written skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles, estimating, construction costs, scheduling, and purchasing
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
