The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager Marketing Consultant to join our growing Marketing Consulting team. In this strategic role, you will work with top-tier organizations to optimize marketing performance, leveraging your expertise in data-driven insights, marketing strategy, and innovative solutions to deliver measurable value and meaningful outcomes for our clients.

As a Manager in our Marketing consulting team, you will use your marketing skills and industry expertise to deliver complex, multi-part client engagements to drive our clients’ success. Whether you’re helping a client on optimizing its marketing operating model, launching a new solution or providing insights on marketing cost reduction, you will work on a dynamic mix of projects helping our clients solve some of their most pressing issues designing and implementing the future of marketing.

As a Manager in Transformation Architecture, you will be at the forefront of designing, architecting, and delivering large-scale transformations of service delivery models and enterprise operations. Your role will involve applying sector-specific business drivers, market events, operating principles, and transformation trends to lead initiatives that generate long-term client value. You will also advise teams and client C-suite executives on their transformation strategies and assist in the design and implementation of complex programs.

Your Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and delivering one or more processes, solutions, and/or projects with a focus on quality and effective risk management. You will drive continuous process improvement and identify innovative solutions through research, analysis, and best practices. You may also manage professional employees or supervise others to deliver complex technical initiatives, with accountability for performance and results. Your decision-making responsibilities will include developing solutions to complex problems and recommending changes to policies, establishing procedures that affect your work area, and possibly the broader business function.

  • Leads workstream delivery
  • Manages engagement economics
  • Implements resource plan and budget
  • Collaborate with senior client stakeholders to assess marketing strategies, capabilities, processes, and technology utilization, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and maximize marketing ROI.
  • Advise clients on campaign optimization, customer segmentation, and personalization strategies by leveraging data-driven insights, advanced analytics, AI, and automation tools.
  • Support the assessment and implementation of enterprise marketing technology platforms and tools (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Ads, Customer Data Platforms, etc.).
  • Develop robust marketing data strategies and measurement frameworks to enable end-to-end marketing activities and data analysis.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional value creation and driving new business initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and oversee the seamless execution of marketing transformation initiatives.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in digital marketing, customer experience, marketing technologies, and AI.

Skills And Attributes For Success

To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate deep expertise and guide others in your field. Your ability to interpret internal and external issues and recommend quality solutions will be crucial. You will also need to meet performance objectives and metrics set locally, including client service, quality and risk management, sales and business growth, solution development, and teaming.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree) Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Typically, no less than 4 - 6 years relevant experience in marketing consulting, marketing roles, or strategic marketing projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least 2-3 of the following specialties: segmentation, new growth and go-to-market strategies, marketing ROI calculation, marketing operating model, marketing cost reduction, brand strategy, customer data management or marketing technology.
  • Significant knowledge of B2B or B2C marketing leading practices, processes and technologies to help drive customer-centric solutions while reinventing their marketing strategy and operating model
  • Experience working in marketing, customer-driven and/or growth projects within technology, telecom, media/entertainment OR consumer products/retail industry is required.
  • Significant people management experience with leading project teams and managing direct reports within an organization.
  • Ability to support business development opportunities throughout the sales lifecycle.
  • Ability to foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment, playing an active role in mentoring junior level consultants within the organization
  • A valid passport and US driver’s license; willingness and ability to travel estimated 50-80% both domestically and internationally.

What We Offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $127,100 to $233,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $152,500 to $264,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
