What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dynamics F&O Functional Lead - Contractor position at EY?
We currently have a contract opportunity for a Dynamics F&O Functional consultant.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Test Planning and Strategy: Developing a comprehensive test plan that outlines the testing approach, scope, resources, schedule, and deliverables. This includes identifying test objectives and defining the testing methodology, particularly for integration points with other systems.
- Test Case Development: Creating detailed test cases and test scripts based on functional specifications, business requirements, and integration scenarios. This involves ensuring that all scenarios, including positive and negative cases, are covered, especially for data flows between Dynamics 365 F&O and other applications.
- Execution of Tests: Conducting various types of testing, such as functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). This includes executing test cases, documenting results, and identifying defects, with a focus on validating data integrity and flow across integrated systems.
- Data Analysis and Troubleshooting: Analyzing data sets to ensure accuracy and consistency within the system. This includes troubleshooting data-related issues, identifying discrepancies, and working with technical teams to resolve data integration problems, ensuring that data migration and synchronization processes function correctly.
- Defect Management and Reporting: Logging, tracking, and managing defects identified during testing. This includes working closely with developers and business analysts to ensure that issues are resolved and retested in a timely manner. Additionally, providing regular updates on testing progress, results, and defect status to stakeholders, along with preparing test summary reports and maintaining documentation related to testing activities.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong F&O Knowledge : Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, including a solid understanding of its modules, functionalities, and architecture. Familiarity with testing tools and automation frameworks, as well as knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis, is essential.
- Experience in Agile Methodologies: Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements. Familiarity with Agile practices such as Scrum or Kanban will help in managing testing activities effectively amidst constant changes.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess complex scenarios, identify root causes of issues, and troubleshoot problems efficiently. The ability to think critically and creatively to devise solutions in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
- Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders. The ability to articulate issues clearly and work collaboratively to resolve them is vital in a chaotic setting.
- Adaptability and Resilience: A high level of adaptability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
The expected pay rate range for this contract assignment is $75 to $95 per hour. Exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
