What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Cybersecurity SME - Contractor position at EY?
We are currently seeking a Sr. Cybersecurity SME - Contractor.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on all Cybersecurity matters, providing guidance and recommendations for implementing a robust vulnerability management program.
- Monitor and assess system vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with agency policies, and review various vulnerability scans to create actionable reports and dashboards.
- Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms, alerts, and dashboards to facilitate threat detection and response, while proactively identifying and mitigating emerging vulnerabilities.
- Conduct stakeholder meetings to ensure cooperation in vulnerability remediation, validate penetration test findings, and support leadership security initiatives.
- Create and enhance Vulnerability Management services, including developing cybersecurity plans, SOPs, and documentation, while instructing staff on processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, with at least 10 years of IT experience, including 6 years in Cybersecurity.
- Desired certifications include CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, CISA, and CySA , with a strong understanding of Vulnerability Management program design and development.
- Extensive experience in developing reports and dashboards to communicate security posture, along with hands-on experience with Tenable/Nessus and other security tools like Burp and Dynatrace.
- Solid understanding of Zero Trust architecture, FISMA, OMB, CISA guidance, and the Risk Management Framework, with a proven track record in process improvement and security automation solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyze and respond to security events, provide recommendations to improve security posture, and maintain IT security systems to protect against cyber threats.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
The expected pay rate range for this contract assignment is $75.00- $95.00 per hour. Exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
