Starting pay $21.00 per hour ,depending on skills/experience
POSITION SUMMARY:
Specializes in supporting all company computer applications and services. The position will directly support business and clinical activities associated with hosted and/or cloud-based computer systems, NextGen Enterprise Suite, Phreesia, and SIS Office specific modules, associated peripherals and other related technology. The position will interact frequently with all levels of management as well as Information Services staff and end users for their supported applications.
Performance of this job may directly or indirectly result in access to protected health information (PHI). Any access will be limited to the performance of specific job activities and every effort will be made to prevent inadvertent disclosure of PHI.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages assigned development tasks to successful completion while utilizing project management, clinical and business resources, as well as external support as required.
- Responsible for problem solving and supporting components related to the use of core business and clinical systems.
- Actively participates in department and project related core group meetings and functions and communicates with the applicable team members on the status of activities.
- Develops and maintains a weekly task list along with progress notes, milestones and applicable completion dates for IS management and team collaboration.
- As directed, schedules time at the clinics to shadow staff and complete a modified form of Technician training and PSR training in order to learn and understand workflow from the clinician and support staff perspective.
- Strives to gain specific knowledge of how doctors and technicians utilize systems to treat and manage patients with different conditions.
- Develops skills necessary to become proficient and organized in all aspects of the information systems assigned and/or supported.
- Provide Tier 1 support for applications (NextGen Healthcare Enterprise suite, Phreesia, SIS Office, PODIS Plus, When I Work) including answering support phone calls, instant messages, addressing help desk tickets, contacting end users to troubleshoot application issues. Escalate issues to Systems Technicians and Systems Analysts when needed.
- Assist with onboarding of new hire employees by creating application accounts and assigning job role specific permissions.
- Reactivate user accounts and update user application permissions following applicable company policies.
- Application configuration tasks associated with onboarding and off boarding of employees, providers, and locations, employee role changes and workflow changes.
- Deactivation of user application accounts upon termination of employment.
- Provide testing and QA for pre-deployment application development changes and application upgrades
- Assist with post-upgrade application testing.
- Develop and maintain process documentation related to job role.
- Assist with maintenance of applications-related documentation and pages in SharePoint.
- Assist with creation of training materials as needed.
- Maintain adherence to HIPAA and all other applicable regulatory requirements.
- The annual completion of assigned Learning Management System (LMS) courses is mandatory. Any individual who has not completed their assigned training prior to November 30th of each year may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have Associate’s Degree or equivalent
- Experience working in technical support/application support preferably in the field of healthcare
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Prior experience working with help desk ticketing systems, Electronic Health Records (HER) and Practice Management (PM) Systems, and Microsoft SharePoint is desired
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- The applicant must have good organization skills, problem solving, and attention to detail
