Optician Needed!!

Eye Associates of New Mexico has an outstanding career opportunity as an Optician at one of our Optical Shops!

Starting pay $15.00 per hour , depending on skills/experience. Pay commissions! No nights! Most opticians are scheduled to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with an occasional half day on Saturdays. Paid certification training. Bonus upon completion of certification. Multi-level career path available to increase pay. Training provided! Sales experience a plus!

We are currently looking for a Full-time Optician. This position assists in the process of making a great long lasting impression with our patients. Help our team make that impression!

Job Duties May Include:

• Coordinate flow of customers through the optical shop
• Determine customer's eye wear needs and assist with frame selection and options
• Discuss third party insurance programs with customers
• Follow-up on outstanding orders
• Perform repairs and tints, as needed
• Demonstrate a caring attitude

Skills/ Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have exceptional customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good organizational skills and strong detail orientation
• Preferred: Certified Optician or is willing to work toward ABO certification within our prescribed time frame
• Preferred: ABO certification.
