Contact Lens Administrative Assistant: The contact lens administrative assistant will report to the contact lens lead and clinical manager.
Position: Full time, Monday-Friday

Job Overview: Contact lens assistants at Eye Care and Surgery assist both the ophthalmologists and optometrists in patient care. They represent our practice and are responsible for the contact lens department. This is a fast-paced work environment with emphasis placed on professional development and certification, encouraging higher level patient care. It is a great introductory role into the optometry/ophthalmology field and provides great opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Represent our practice with direct patient interaction
- Responsible for teaching patients to insert and remove their contacts
- Place contact lenses orders- work with our billing team regarding vision contact lens benefits
- Exemplify great customer service managing patients' contact lens related phone calls
- Maintain an organized space and stocked trial lenses
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Preferred health care experience
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to learn and operate electronic medical records system
- Positive attitude and drive
