Job Summary
This position is part of Finance and reports to the Vice President of Tax. The Tax Director is responsible for overseeing all outsourced income tax compliance and tax planning functions for the Company. The Director is also responsible for researching and interpreting tax laws in all jurisdictions in which the Company operates or intends to operate to comply with the laws of the jurisdictions and to aid in overall tax planning for the Company. Duties include supervising staff and developing processes and internal controls; reviewing federal, state, and local corporate and partnership income tax returns, quarterly estimated payments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (Accounting), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- 5 years' experience in industry or public accounting preparing / reviewing corporate and partnership income tax returns
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
- Management and organizational skills to support the leadership of this function
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to pull and analyze large data sets
- Specialty knowledge of systems relating to job function
- Proficiency in using general ledger systems; SAP preferred
- Familiarity with tax compliance systems
- Research experience in state, local, and federal tax
- Experience managing outsourced providers
