What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visual Field/ Contact Lens Tech - Entry Level position at Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons and Optic49?
The Visual Field Technician works closely with the physicians to provide patient oriented and quality care. The technician will be responsible for all aspects of visual field testing, as well as being a support staff to the Contact Lens Department.
These duties primarily include
- Researching current physician testing orders
- Patient testing history,
- Performing visual field testing
- Completing documentation.
- Assist with billing of contacts
- Assist with new user contact lens lessons.
- Inventory maintenance,
- Patient contact
The position will work directly with patients, acting as a patient advocate and educator. The technician will communicate effectively and professionally with courtesy and respect to team members at all levels. They will model ECPS core values and service excellence at all times as they strive to give the patients a memorable quality experience.
Qualifications: Some previous healthcare experience preferred but not required. Critical listening and communication skills required. Excellent customer service delivery with patients and staff supporting "Yes Clinic" culture.
This position will travel between our close locations in Salem and Keizer.
