We are currently seeking a personable, energetic, professional Patient Care Associate to join our outstanding team at Eye Care Specialist located in Hazelton, PA ! The Patient Care Associate is responsible for greeting the patients as they enter the practice, check-in, check-out, scheduling, and other administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
What You Will Do:
- Greeting patients in person and on the phone.
- Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling.
- Notifying providers of patient arrivals.
- Provide exceptional patient care and comfort patients by effectively answering or referring questions to the appropriate team member.
- Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records.
- Verify financial records and collect patient charges while filing and expediting third-party claims.
- Maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting orders.
- Cross-train in other areas as needed.
Qualifications
What You Will Bring:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Detail-oriented and ability to multitask
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records software is a plus.
- Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
