Join our team and launch your career. We are a 4 doctor private optometric practice in West Omaha, seeking an Optometric Technician/Optician. We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, organized multi-tasking person to provide amazing customer service to our patients. Customer service is paramount to us.
The optometric world is fast paced and multifaceted. We combine primary and specialty eye care along with complete optical and contact lens services. There's a lot to learn and room to grow!
This is a full time position with benefits. You will have a 4 day work week and paid holidays.
Prepare patients for their exams with the doctor.
Ability to use an Optomap, Auto-refractor, ICare, Blood Pressure & Lensometer.
Learn specialized equipment such as OCT, Visual Fields, & Neurolens.
Work side by side with our doctors and scribe during the exam.
Educate patients on insertion, removal and care of their new of contact lenses.
Explain pricing for contact lens patients.
Learn about our specialty lenses and therapies.
Order and prepare the filled orders for contact lens patients.
File 3rd party insurance claims for contact lens & eyeglass patients.
Assist patient with frame selection, lifestyle lenses, and specialty coatings.
Dispense completed orders to patients.
Adjust frames, problem solve patient complaints.
Manage frame board inventory.
Certification is preferred but not essential.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 38 per week
