What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe position at Eye Consultants of North Dakota?
We are looking for an energetic and experienced applicant to join our amazing team of ophthalmic technicians and providers in our state of the art clinic!
The Ophthalmic Technician is responsible for accurately and efficiently performing patient data collection, measurements, tests and imaging as delegated by the provider to allow for proper diagnosis of patient conditions. They assist providers in various treatments and procedures and occasionally travel during the workday to satellite clinic locations. They are expected to welcome patients and establish rapport with them to instill confidence in the care they’re receiving. This position requires initiative, flexibility, reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· 1 years experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or Ophthalmic Assistant.
· COT, COA or COMT credential preferred.
· Strong interpersonal skills: personable and empathetic with patient’s needs and concerns.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to follow oral and written directions.
· Ability to perform basic computer skills and use basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
· Well organized with strong attention to detail.
· Ability to recognize problems and provide solutions.
· Experience and knowledge of EHR systems and ability to use them efficiently preferred.
· Ability to work as a contributing member of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
