Growing Ophthalmology practice is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician. 2 years of experience that includes medical history taking, ophthalmic/ optometry patient services, general medical knowledge, and visual acuity testing is preferred. Excellent professional and interpersonal skills a must.
Job Responsibilities:
- Document patient interview and medical history in EMR
- Accurately perform patient work-ups (visual acuity, refraction, IOP)
- Perform various diagnostic tests (VF, OCT, Fundus photos, IOL master, and Topography)
- Assist physician with procedures and other treatments
- Willingness to cross train in other areas
Essential Skills & Abilities:
- Be a person of integrity and character

- Detail oriented, organized, and diligent
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to pick up concepts quickly
- Typing and computer literacy
- High school diploma
Bonus Qualifications:
- COT or COA
- Language skills: Portuguese and/or Spanish
- Associate degree
