What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmology Clinic Supervisor position at EYE CONSULTANTS OF TEXAS?
Eye Consultants of Texas is looking for a motivated, responsible individual to join our team as our Clinic Supervisor. As our Clinic Supervisor, you would be responsible for the oversight and management of all clinical staff and for the supervision of all patient care processes in a busy ophthalmology practice. This includes ensuring patients are scheduled appropriately, documentation is appropriate, testing is completed as ordered, and protocols are followed.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for scheduling staff to ensure appropriate coverage in clinic
- Maintains a smooth patient flow from patient check-in to check-out with minimal patient wait times
- Ability to perform patient work-ups and diagnostic testing as circumstances dictate
- Assists in answering patient questions and telephone inquiries, including but not limited to, attaining resolution to patient problems
- Maintains inventory levels; orders all clinical supplies
Requirements:
- Ophthalmology experience as a technician and/or scribe
- Previous experience in a leadership role
- Ability to perform patient work-ups and diagnostic testing as circumstances dictate
- Demonstrated skills in motivating and training professional staff
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with others
