Eye Consultants, P.C. is a well established and busy ophthalmic practice specializing in comprehensive medical and eye care services.

We are seeking an energetic, organized, outgoing individuals with proven patient relation skills to join our team.

YOUR ROLE

  • Perform preliminary examination of patient, conducts diagnostic tests, recording and measuring vision, and testing eye function
  • preparing examination rooms, cleaning and arranging equipment,maintaining a well organized and clean work environment
  • Assist doctor with examinations, procedures and maintain patient charts
  • Maintains necessary equipment, stock counts, reporting, and distribution
  • Educate our patients on their prescriptions as well as effectively demonstrate doctor recommendations
  • Provides training to patients receiving contacts for the first time instructing patients in inserting, removing and caring for contact lenses(Soft, RGP, CRT, Hybrid lenses)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience; some college preferred.
  • Previous experience working in the medical field, patient facing.
  • Ability to use auto refractor and lensometers, perform visual field tests, visual acuity tests, pinhole tests, brightness acuity measurement as requested by the physician.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position requires periods of extensive standing or walking. The employee is regularly required to carry a laptop; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear softly spoken words. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms,stoop, kneel, crouch, reaching overhead, pushing or pulling. Manual dexterity is required. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, with the ability to support elderly patients getting in and out of exam chairs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception ability to adjust focus and work in dimly-lit settings.
