Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President of Operations oversees medical office operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This role involves strategic planning, performance improvement, resource management, and team leadership to optimize workflows, enhance the patient experience, and support organizational goals.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Drive revenue growth, productivity, and operational efficiency across the region.
- Direct operations leaders with a focus on appointment scheduling, patient flow, and office logistics.
- Ensure seamless integration and communication between clinical, administrative, and ASC functions.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of directors, managers, and staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and exceptional patient service.
- Empower leadership to align teams with organizational goals.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the Southern Division, ensuring financial health.
- Monitor performance against budget, taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify revenue growth and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
- Implement quality assurance protocols to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
- Build strong relationships with physicians and key stakeholders.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency, patient satisfaction, and care quality.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to the executive team.
- Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure business continuity through effective risk management and disaster recovery planning.
- Enhance the patient experience by optimizing office workflows and service delivery.
- Collaborate with leadership on addressing patient complaints and feedback promptly.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior operational management role within the healthcare sector with a strong preference of experience leading operations of more than 15 locations and/or 300 employees.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and accreditation standards.
- Ability to travel between locations as needed.
