What are the responsibilities and job description for the Math and English Tutor position at Eye Level Learning Center?
Eye Level on Windward Parkway (Alpharetta West) learning center is looking for part time Math and English instructors to teach students from K to 8th grade. The center will be open Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 5pm to 7pm and Saturdays 10am to 1pm.
All teaching materials are provided. The instructor will work with students on an individual or small group setting. This is a part-time, year-round position. Preference is given to those who can teach both subjects.
Requirement:
- Excellent communication skills with adults and children
- Sense of responsibility
- Patience, enthusiasm, willingness to work with children
- Hours can be discussed at the interview (around 8-12 hours/week)
- Proficient knowledge in Math
- Candidate proficient in English as well gets higher priority.
- Prefer someone who has teaching experience at other Eyelevel centers or at elementary and middle schools.
General Responsibilities:
- Provide appropriate academic coaching to students according to the Center policy
- Motivate and encourage students (incentives, certificates, etc.)
- Discuss with Director of students’ progress after every session or end of business day
- Motivate and encourage students through positive reinforcements
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 10 per week
