Position: Oculoplastic Supervisor
Primary Duties: Efficiently lead and oversee all aspects of the Oculoplastic Department.
Essential Duties
1. Maintains an in-depth and current knowledge of medical and cosmetic Oculo-facial and plastics.
2. Interact with physician and support staff to facilitate delivery of oculoplastic and elective cosmetic procedures.
3. Educates patients on oculoplastic and elective cosmetic procedures and follows up on potential candidates through database management.
4. Interview prospective employees and chooses the best applicant based on skill, knowledge, and abilities required for the position.
5. Acts as primary liaison with Administration.
6. Facilitate administrative functions such as billing, inventory management, payroll, personnel functions and marketing.
7. Monitor staffing needs, including approval of PTO and coordination of coverage, to ensure adequate staff to meet the needs of the practice.
8. Monitors surgical schedule to maximize physician productivity and acts as back up to surgical secretary.
9. Responsible for in-service and training of staff, review staff knowledge of practice policies and procedures, and makes appropriate recommendations to administration.
10. Serves as principal contact person for all patient issues, maintains communication with patients, and observes strict patient confidentiality.
11. Manage department staff of 5-10 employees.
12. Directs assigned tasks and provides assistance or fill in as needed.
13. Attend meetings as needed.
14. Able to communicate verbally and in writing with outside public, other staff and physicians.
15. Able to operate under HIPAA guidelines.
16. Able to understand medical terminology.
17. Able to perform job duties with minimal supervision.
18. Other job duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills.
Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism in all situations.
Extreme attention to detail.
High School Diploma or GED required.
At least four years of management and directing staff in a medical office setting required.
(Preferred) BS Business Degree
(Preferred) Medical office and cosmetic management experience
Physical characteristics:
1. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
2. Able to lift 25 pounds.
3. Dexterity, able to manipulate multiple work devices.
4. Extending, Bending kneeling and stooping.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
