Eye Pros Lab is currently seeking to hire Assistant Optical Laboratory Technicians in both our surfacing and finishing departments. Eye Pros Lab is a family owned and operated business since 1997. In this role, you will be responsible for performing optical laboratory duties, including adjusting, repairing, and fabricating eyeglasses. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a combination of technical and customer service skills, as well as the ability to trouble shoot when needed. Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for performing optical laboratory duties, including, but not limited to
· Adjust, repair, and fabricate eyeglasses according to customer needs
· Manually handle, align and install diverse optical components using adjustment fixtures while monitoring diverse optical parameters, and continue to adjust alignment optimize and balance all optical parameters until these parameters reach optimal and meet specs.
· Follow technical instructions accurately and efficiently
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of optical laboratory processes and techniques
· Provide excellent customer service and communication skills
· Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to complete tasks
· Ensure accuracy of all products before releasing to customers
· Correctly enter numerical data
· Cross-trained for upstream and downstream operations
· Maintain a clean and organized working environment
· Adhere to safety protocols and procedures
· Assist Lab Manager with optical-related tasks, if needed
· Maintains a good record concerning absenteeism and tardiness
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in an Optical Laboratory preferred
· Excellent customer service and communication skills
· Ability to work accurately and efficiently
· Working knowledge of optical laboratory processes and techniques preferred
· Ability to read and follow technical instructions
· Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment
· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
· High School Diploma or Equivalent GED required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 32 per week
