Job Description
As a Charge Nurse at the Eye Surgery Center, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the surgical facility, managing a team of nurses, and ensuring adherence to established care standards. Your role will involve coordinating patient care in the operating room, maintaining a safe environment, and participating in direct patient assessments and evaluations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need at least one year of experience as a Charge Nurse or in a management position, preferably in an Operating Room, Ambulatory Surgery Center, or hospital. You should have previous nursing experience in at least one of the following settings: Operating Room (OR), Pre-Op/Post-Op, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), or Intensive Care Unit (ICU). A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred, and you must have a valid Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
