About the Job
The Charge Nurse will oversee daily operations at the Ambulatory Surgery Center, ensuring effective patient care and compliance with health standards. This role requires prior experience in surgical environments and the ability to manage nursing staff while maintaining a safe and orderly facility.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of Charge Nurse/management experience, preferably in an Operating Room, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and/or hospital. Experience managing a team of at least 20 direct reports is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate breaks and lunches for nursing staff
- Ensure daily log checks and schedules are maintained
- Enforce policies and procedures
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients
The Charge Nurse will participate in direct patient care and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
- Valid Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
